Are you MEES ready?

Since 1st April 2020 it has become unlawful to let domestic properties which have an Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) of an 'F' or 'G' in England and Wales.

Landlords and property owners are prohibited to rent out a property with either, existing or a new tenants, in a property which has a rating below an E.

If this is the case, the property owner must make improvements in order to achieve an E or above or seek an exemption on the property.

Listed buildings are exempt from EPC's.
